Overview:
Fragments of Travel is a speculative RIMOWA campaign built around the existing culture of travellers personalizing their luggage with stickers collected over time. Rather than creating conventional destination souvenirs, the project imagines a RIMOWA sticker collection shaped by the different ways travel is experienced and remembered.

Each case arrived with its own combination of places, interests and memories; turning an otherwise identical object into something distinctly personal.
Rather than marking a specific destination, the stickers are about the things that get noticed, carried, and remembered along the way.
A collection built around looking, framing, and remembering. From camera mechanics and scenic viewpoints to the images that turn a place into a memory.
Travel translated through music, rhythm, and listening: records, notation, birdsong, and graphic references to the sounds that give a place its atmosphere.
A collection of the things that travel with us and the forms we encounter along the way: keys, functional objects, and graphic studies of everyday items shaped by use, place, and movement.
Built around the systems that move us from place to place: transit maps, transit passes, routes, travellers, and wayfinding graphics that turn movement itself into part of the experience.
A visual archive of eating and drinking while away: menus, table settings, takeaway graphics, wine, and the small rituals that make food part of the journey.
Film photography gives the campaign the feeling of a travel archive. The images bring together people, places, objects, and passing moments, with a more candid texture than polished campaign photography. The goal was for them to feel collected over time rather than staged for an advertisement.

The social campaign places the stickers directly over the film photography, so the graphics sit inside the same kinds of places and moments they were designed around. The result feels closer to collected travel material than a separate layer of campaign graphics.
Applied to the suitcases, the stickers change in scale, placement, and density, showing how the collection could build up differently from case to case.
